Route Management

Routes help you arrange the day's jobs in the best order for each crew. Less driving means more jobs completed and lower fuel costs.

Navigate to Admin > Schedule > Routes to open the route view.

What Is a Route?

A route is an ordered sequence of jobs assigned to one crew for a single day. The route view shows:

  • Each job in the order it will be performed
  • The estimated drive time between stops
  • The total drive time for the day

CleanEstimate Pro calculates drive times based on the service addresses of each job.

Viewing Routes

The Routes page shows one route per crew for the selected date. Switch between crews using the tabs or dropdown at the top.

Each stop in the route displays:

  • Stop number
  • Customer name and address
  • Scheduled time
  • Estimated drive time from the previous stop

Reordering Stops

To change the order of jobs in a route:

  1. Click and hold a job in the route list.
  2. Drag it to the desired position.
  3. Release to drop it in place.

Drive times recalculate automatically when you reorder stops.

Day Route Map View

Click Map View to see the day's stops plotted on a map. The map draws a line between stops in route order so you can visually check the path.

Use the map to spot inefficiencies. If the route crosses back over itself, consider reordering the stops.

Tips for Better Routes

  • Group jobs by area. Assign jobs in the same neighborhood to the same crew.
  • Schedule travel-heavy jobs first or last. Put distant jobs at the start or end of the day to avoid backtracking.
  • Check the map. The visual route can reveal problems that a list view does not.
  • Review drive time totals. If one crew has two hours of drive time and another has 30 minutes, consider rebalancing.

Next Steps

  • Go back to the Schedule to assign crews and create jobs.
  • Learn about managing jobs through their full lifecycle.
