Managing Trucks

V1 workflow: This guide preserves Clean Estimate V1 truck setup and dispatch instructions. The current V2 web Calendar workspace uses service locations and crews; truck assignment remains required parity work.

In V1, use Settings -> Trucks to manage the trucks and service vehicles your crews run each day.

In V1, workspaces that already used Operations -> Vehicles before the truck dispatch tools were added keep those legacy vehicle records in dispatch selectors. V1 translates them into dispatch truck records when they are assigned to a job.

What This Page Controls

The V1 Trucks page is where you:

• Add new trucks and service vehicles
• Update truck names, plates, and status
• Mark a truck as available, in use, or in maintenance
• Keep dispatch options current for the schedule and job detail pages

Dispatch Workflow

V1 uses a truck-first dispatch flow when equipment matters:

1. Assign the truck to the job.
2. Assign the crew running that truck.
3. Save the job.

In V1, the truck added here becomes available in:

• Schedule and Dispatch
• Job Detail
• Create Job

Typical Setup

Create one record for each dispatchable vehicle, such as:

• Wash rigs
• Box trucks
• Holiday lights install trucks
• Service vans with dedicated equipment packages

If a vehicle should not appear for dispatch, set its status so it is no longer active for scheduling.

Mobile Truck Checks and Engine Hours

The mobile Truck check screen records the selected vehicle's engine hours together with the daily walkaround. Hours normally move forward from the last accepted reading.

An equipment-authorized teammate can correct a lower value by entering a reason. If the phone was offline and a newer reading reached the server first, Clean Estimate keeps the submitted check but does not apply its meter value. After sync, the screen shows Meter update not applied with the reason and excludes the refused value from future local hour validation. The warning follows the latest meter attempt instead of staying pinned to an older refusal; a newer attempt clears the old warning, and a new refusal displays its own reason.

A phone clock that is accidentally set in the future cannot become a permanent cutoff. Clean Estimate clamps that observation time before it is stored and synced back to mobile.
